Polar Express, hockey and Christmas

Look at my sweet 8 yr old boy!

Evan, Dylan, Rider and Colter waiting for the Polar Express.
The Polar Express weekend has turned into a fun family tradition. We went with the Stogners and the Abbots for the second year in a row and the boys all had a blast at the rec center, Discovery Museum and then the big train ride. The Durango train people have stepped it up again and are putting on a better show each year. Pajamas are still the dress code and despite his "8yr old I have everything figured out" attitude, I think Colter still really enjoys the magic of the season, I know I do!

They have so many cool train sets for the boys to enjoy. These three could have stayed all night.

I love the sweet reflections caught in the windows, like those bad 80's  photographs!

Colter was brave enough to be a part of the dancing show this year.

And Colter is hamming it up with a  "oh no, the train is going to run me over" picture.

Mr. D loves hockey! He started out barely being able to skate and quickly became one of the better and more determined 5 yr olds. He showed up with a good attitude, listened to his coaches and tried hard the entire season. His "get ready" stance is priceless! He was so happy the day he found out that people can get paid to play hockey when they grow up, we'll see what he does with that:)

Christmas morning at our cozy little cabin.  Grandma and MacMac joined in the early morning fun. Dylan was thrilled that Santa could indeed fit down our little chimney....Colter even added his own flair by pointing out the reindeer tracks outside of our bedroom window

Yes, more legos. I didn't think it was possible, but the boys still  love them and are still playing with them daily.

Total goofballs, as expected. Love the bows on the nose pictures. Dylan loves his new drums and is pretty sure he wants to be a rock star, Kastle Keeper guy (so he can work with Dad) or a hockey player when he grows up.

Grandma Carol enjoyed the sledding hill.
We all went over to Modee and Pappy's for food, presents and of course//////sledding! Everyone got in on the action and we had some epic runs, wrecks and jumps.
Colter and Dylan.
Sheila and Grace.

And MacMac too......
Colter laughing all the way down.

Sheila taking a tumble.
Eli going big.

All the kids were playing, even the big kids. This is Rob ripping up the course.
Tracye's turn.

Colter going off the jump.
T
Modee screamed her way down, maybe even smiled once.....at the end......
Noah Bear running solo.

Pappy needed a longer sled, but he made do.

Daddy and D racing down the hill.

As you can tell, I was taking pictures and didn't manage to get many of myself. I did  enjoy the day as much as everyone else. It was a sunny, chilly Christmas.

Cutie pie Grace stole the show and turned 2 on Dec. 21st.
Another picture heavy blog. Seriously, we talk all the time, you would think I could put more words down! Life is Good, 2013 has started off strong and there will be more updates soon!
